"A professional writer is an amateur who didn’t quit.” I didn’t come up with this quote; it belongs to Richard Bach, but this quote is essentially what my life is. I started writing as a teenager for fun and never stopped. Now, here I am today. "

Richard's Writing Philosophy

When Richard digs into writing, his mission, depending on the assignment, is to deliver a product that everyone can read and understand clearly. When it’s a news topic, he covers both sides if there’s an argument and allows the reader to decide which side they’re on, especially if it’s a legal-related issue.

Richard views his job as a relayer of happenings in the casino landscape, not a pundit—he does that in other areas of his career.

Whenever you read an article by Richard, he hopes that you leave with the knowledge and enjoy reading a well-fleshed and accurate article.

"I was in attendance during the Cincinnati Bengals and Kansas City Chiefs game on January 2, 2022. This was the most exciting game I’ve witnessed, with both teams going down by 14 points or more on separate occasions. The Bengals won 34-31. Joe Burrow had four touchdowns, 446 passing yards, and Ja’Marr Chase had 11 catches for 266 yards and three touchdowns. Even better, I was there with my son. An all-time great moment as a sports fan."

Q&A with Richard Janvrin

If losing the money on a bet will make you sadder than the feeling you’ll get from winning, don’t bet.

I grew up in the 1990s and early 2000s. During that time, I got into World of Warcraft and it’s one of my main hobbies today.

I used to be a screaming vocalist in a metal band.

I added Alabama as a moneyline leg to a seven-leg parlay in 2021 against Texas A&M. They were the final leg to win $5,000. I could’ve cashed out for $3,400, but opted to stick with it. They lost 41-38.
