Joakim “Jkaem” Myrbostad, a professional Counter-Strike 2 professional player, has released a public statement regarding an alleged skin scam.

He has stated that he will work with BC Game Esports to “pay back everything.”

BC Game Esports hasn’t released a comment yet.

In other Counter-Strike 2 news, 16 teams were confirmed earlier this year for IEM Dallas 2025.

Jkaem’s Statement

Jkaem took to X to release a formal statement. The thread spanned four posts, as Jkaem isn’t verified on the platform.

“Hey. I don’t have any excuses. I fucked up bad and there is more than one case. I will pay back everything to everyone I owe money/skins. I was an idiot, honestly. I take full responsibility, and I own my mistakes. Together with BC team we are sitting down and taking this very serious. They want to help me fix the damage I have caused to everyone involved. I am being honest and open with them about my issues and how we have ended here. I want to say sorry to everyone that I have taken advantage of. I am 100% in the wrong here and I have to stand in my own mess. As hard as this is, I'm grateful it's out in the open. Sometimes you need to hit the bottom to really see who's there for you, and I’m lucky to have people helping me clean this up and move forward.”

The Alleged Scam

This alleged “skin scam” came after a flurry of posts by @erlsan on X. The thread began with this statement: “In march 2023 i lent out skins to @jkaem to play with during the Paris major (now worth 11k usd). Months later he had gambled my skins away. After a year of excuses, lies and  deceits i have no choice left but to go public with this.”

He went on to mention that he gave Jkaem a deadline of March 15. To that point, Erlsan said Jkaem paid just $1,000.

Additionally, Erlsan said that in January, Oliver “zipeL” Behrensdorff contacted Jkaem to get repayment.

In a response, zipeL said, “Messaged Jkaem on two occasions and stressed how nice and patient Erlsan had been with him.

“I also offered to help him discuss whatever issues he had privately in case I could help him in any way, but he did not take me up on that offer.”

From there, zipeL said Jkaem took skins from multiple people and Jkaem admitted there was more than one instance.
