More About the Case
The six-year-old girl hasn’t been identified beyond the fact that she is the daughter of the two adults who entered the casino.
While inside, a security guard found the two adults. They were playing table games. The security guard escorted them back to their vehicle.
The adults have been identified as To Yeung and Chunyahn Wang, both 44 years old. They’re both from Brooklyn, New York.
They’ve both been charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
Pennsylvania State Police were notified at around 11:00 am on Monday morning after a security guard spotted the little girl in the car.
She’s since been placed with relatives.
Wang and Yeung appeared in court on Monday in front of Bucks County Magisterial District Court Judge Joseph Falcone.
They both posted bonds of $3,000. The case has now been turned over to local prosecutors.
Little Girl Unharmed
While inside, the outside temperature was around 20 degrees, with winds of up to 8 mph.
Fortunately, the little girl was unharmed and didn't suffer from any cold-related injuries such as hypothermia.
Other Child-Left-In-Car Incidents
There have been other cases in the past in Pennsylvania of adults leaving children in cars while they went inside casinos. These included both hot and cold days.
In most of these cases, the adults are investigated and charged for putting the child at risk.
