Man Kidnaps Woman at Gunpoint Outside Missouri Casino

A suspect has been arrested and is facing numerous charges after allegedly kidnapping an elderly woman at gunpoint outside Hollywood Casino in Missouri, forcing her to drive him to an ATM, stealing her car, and fleeing. 

The charges stem from St. Louis and St. Charles counties.

In other casino crime news, the adopted son of a former Nevada senator was shot and killed at Aliante Casino in Nevada.

More on the Suspect

Darryl Anthony Saddler, 62, was arrested and charged. According to court documents, the man faces nine felony charges in connection with this crime. 

According to a news release from the city, the report of a kidnapping outside Hollywood Casino in Maryland Heights came in at around 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. 

Saddler allegedly forced the victim to drive to an ATM in St. Charles. From there, he allegedly demanded her to withdraw money. He then stole her vehicle and drove away. 

After this, the victim contacted police and provided a description of Saddler and her vehicle. He was ultimately taken into custody.

• One count of first-degree kidnapping
• One count of vehicle hijacking
• Two counts of armed criminal action

And these are the ones from St. Charles County: 

• One count of first-degree kidnapping
• One count of first-degree robbery
• One count of unlawful possession of a firearm
• One count of stealing a motor vehicle
• One count of armed criminal action

He’s facing a $100,000 cash-only bond. 

Saddler’s Criminal Past

This is far from the first crime Saddler has been associated with. 

According to the city press release, here are other crimes he’s been involved in: 

• Rape – Felony
• Robbery 1st – Felony
• Burglary 1st – Felony
• Bank Robbery – Felony
• Unlawful Possession of a Firearm – Felony

He’s a registered sex offender with the Missouri State Highway Patrol. 

According to his sex offender registry, there are two mentions of forcible rape. One was on Dec. 20, 1979, and the other on June 24, 1980. 

The crimes occurred when he was 17, and the victim was a 61-year-old woman.
