On Monday, police revealed that a man who was shot in the head at a Queens, New York, gaming room has died.

Details of What Happened

Li was shot on Dec. 19 in the basement of a building on Haight Street.

Upon arriving at the hospital, doctors performed emergency surgery as he was in critical condition. However, he died four days later, and his death was ruled a homicide.

This happened during a robbery of the gaming room. Another man, 42, was shot during the incident. He was wounded after being struck in the cheek.

As of earlier this week, the police were still searching for three suspects. The men were seen getting into a white SUV near the scene, and a woman was inside the vehicle.

The vehicle sped away amid gunfire and is believed to have suffered front-end damage.

There’s no information regarding the identity of these suspects.

Neighborhood Prone to Illegal Gambling

According to residents in the area, illegal gambling there isn’t uncommon. There are known underground gambling rooms.

However, violence is quite rare.

“I think this happens a lot. It’s just only this time people were shot,” a cabinet maker said in an interview with the Daily News. “This place is crazy right now.”

“When I saw [the cops] locking down the street, I just told my co-worker this morning, ‘I’m planning to move out,’” they added.
