Key Takeaways

  • Police are searching for a masked trio that committed the robbery
  • The current description consists of three black males, perhaps in their 20s, who were wearing facemasks and dark clothes
  • The victims had guns pointed at them in their driveway

Florida authorities are looking for three masked men who stole about $250k from a couple after they arrived home from spending time at a casino over the weekend. It’s not known what casino it was.

The two robbers stole personal items from the victim’s driveway in Boca Raton around midnight this past Saturday.

The men waited in the bushes for them to come home at Northeast 29th Place. The men pointed firearms at the victims as they approached the door to their house.

This comes more than a month after a mother was arrested for leaving her child unattended in a car to go into a Florida casino.

Pointed Guns at the Couple

After pointing guns at the couple, the men demanded cash, watches, cellphones, and a purse. They also tried, but failed, to steal the victim’s car.

Before taking off, the masked trio got away with a gun, cash, and some valuables.

In investigating the crime, police found the victim’s cell phone on the ground nearby.

Suspects Descriptions Released

According to a Florida TV news network, the descriptions of the suspects have been released.

The suspects were wearing face masks and dark clothes. They were described as black males, perhaps in their 20s.

Right now, it appears police don’t know their identities but are looking at surveillance footage throughout the neighborhood.

There’s one possible theory that the suspects followed the victims home from the casino. Police didn’t reveal if the couple won any of the stolen cash at the casino.

“I do believe that they’re going to find them eventually, but it is alarming the fact that they’re still out there,” Melissa Blau, a local resident, told WPEC. “This comes off the heels of last year, where there was a ring of thieves stealing people’s cars.”
