The Cool Reel
Tropicool 4’s matrix consists of two parts. The first is the primary 6x6 grid, filled with symbols from above. Above the regular reels is the Cool Reel, composed of three rows of feature icons, empty ice cubes, and empty tiles. Collectively, the matrix supplies up to 46,656 ways to win.
Cool Reel combined with the avalanche feature are integral to getting closure to the slot’s maximum win potential of 25,000x the bet. Winning characters vanish from the grid, and the rest of the icons drop down. Symbols from the Cool Reel also fall into the grid to fill empty spaces and activate their unique features. This feature repeats until there are no more wins.
A Toss of Feature and Big Symbols
Feature symbols activate when they fall onto the 6x6 matrix and trigger different effects, including:
- Mystery Symbols: Reveal payout or feature icons when there are no more wins
- Multiplier: Applies a 1x to 3x multiplier to the win
- Locked Wild: Lasts up to three cascades and exits the grid after the last win
Pay or feature symbols can also appear in colossal sizes of 2x2 or 3x3. These icons are worth the number of regular tiles they cover. If one of these characters falls from the Cool Reel, it runs through pay symbols until it crushes at the bottom.
An Assortment of Tropical Delights
The flamingo denotes a walking wild that appears in 1x2 and 1x3 sizes, moving through the grid to the right. It awards one free spin when no more valuable combinations occur. Each time it moves on the reels, it grows until it’s as high as six symbols. Meanwhile, the toucan is a walking multiplier that increases the win multiplier by 1+ every time it moves one reel to the right. Finally, Elmo the sloth clears pay symbols from the row it appears by growing anytime whenever there are empty spaces above or below it.
