Key Takeaways

  • Solaire Resort North VIP operations will cater to high-end clients
  • The development is scheduled to launch in early September
  • VIP services are expected to boost the establishment’s declining financial results

Solaire Resort North, a recently opened luxury casino resort in Quezon City, northeast of Manila, is gearing up to open VIP gaming services in early September. This move is a welcome development after the successful launch of the property in May 2024. It indicates a new era for the casino as it aims to deliver exclusive operations to high-end clientele. The official launch ceremony will be on September 8th.

Solaire Resort North has experienced challenges with declining financial results after its strong start, but VIP operations are meant to ramp them up. Also, Bloomberry Resorts Corp, the resort’s promoter, plans to establish an annual dividend policy to increase shareholder value.

The Anticipated Array of Gaming Options

Solaire Resort North is a significant player in the competitive Philippine gaming market. The $1 billion property currently boasts a diverse casino floor featuring over 2,600 electronic gaming machines and 160 gaming tables on four levels. 526 rooms and suites complement the expansive gaming entertainment.

The VIP gaming facilities will be placed on the 36th and 37th floors of the complex, providing exclusive and ritzy services to big spenders. The number of gaming machines and tables dedicated to these areas has not yet been confirmed.

A Strong Start Despite Challenges

Solaire Resort North has seen a decline in earnings compared to the initial success after its launch. In its first month of operation, the property generated a whopping PHP2.25 billion from gaming tables and PHP10.38 billion from slot machines. These figures were a testament to the high demand for gaming entertainment in the region.

The company’s net income for Q2 was just under PHP1.34 billion, reflecting a 26.2% decline from the previous quarter. Nevertheless, chairman and chief executive of Bloomberry, Enrique Razon, said the promoter was satisfied with the resort’s initial performance.

Enrique stated, “We are in the early stages of the property’s ramp-up and are happy with the pace, especially as we compare it to the ramp of Solaire in Entertainment City over 11 years ago.”

Positive Early Signs of Success

Solaire Resort North displayed promising results when it first launched, and the VIP operations are expected to contribute positively to its financial stability. With the new VIP areas, Solaire Resort North is still on track to be a significant contributor to Bloomberry Resorts Corp’s overall economic performance. In addition to these services, Bloomberry wants to establish an annual dividend policy to increase shareholder value.
