Overview of Jackpot City

Jackpot City casino is owned by Eastern Dawn Sports Pty Limited. The operator launched on the 25th of April 2023 and is currently licensed and overseen by the Mpumalanga Economic Regulator. I decided to take a closer look at Jackpot City South Africa during my review, and here's how it went.

Immediately after making my way to Jackpotcity.co.za, I was greeted by a colourful and vibrant website. With a black backdrop and fancy purple and white fonts, complemented by blue hues, Jackpot City looks as exciting as its name implies.

I found all of the useful tabs available in the top right-hand corner of the screen, including the Sign Up and Log In buttons. Directly beneath that, I found the other popular and frequently accessed categories, such as slot games, Aviator, live games, crash games, as well as the Promotions and Winners Circle tabs.

I especially liked the fact that I could access different game categories directly from the homepage by simply scrolling down. The platform offers a downloadable Jackpot City app for both iOS and Android devices too. Overall, Jackpot City has a professional and easy-to-navigate website, while the atmosphere upon logging in is nothing short of exciting.

Jackpot City Bonuses

At the time of my review, I came across five active bonuses on the Promotions page at Jackpot City. It all starts with the 100% Jackpot City bonus - deposit match with the opportunity to spin on the Big City Wheel.

A Drops & Wins promotion was also on offer, as well as a Daily Deal Wheel promotion where you can spin, win, and repeat.

While the current bonuses and promotions are appreciated, I feel that Jackpot City can do much better than this. When compared to other South African casinos like Easy Bet, which have close to 20 active bonuses and promotions available at any time, Jackpot City South Africa should bring  more to the table.

Casino Games at Jackpot City

Jackpot City has a variety of casino games, which includes slots, crash games, live dealer games, and quick games as well.

I came across over 500 slots here, not to mention trending titles like 12 Masks of Fire Drums, Hot Hot City Jackpot, and Gold Blitz Extreme.
I also found approximately 48 exclusive titles, which included Dark Waters Power Combo, Cash & Riches Megaways, and UFC Gold Blitz Extreme.

There are also a number of Drops & Wins available at Jackpot City, including Big Bass Bonanza, Buffalo King Megaways and the ever-popular Fruit Party.

I found 48 live dealer games, including Diamond Rush Roulette and XXXtreme Lightning Roulette. If you're into blackjack, you'll find approximately 57 blackjack variations here, including Infinite Blackjack, Jackpot City Blackjack, and Jackpot City VIP Blackjack.

You'll also find various poker variations, not to mention Sic Bo titles like First Person Super Sic Bo and Mega Sic Bo.

There's also a lineup of 25 live game shows, including Deal or No Deal, Crazy Coin Flip, and Majestic Wheel Show.

I was pleased to see a Quick Games category and excited to explore it. For those of you who don't know, Quick Games are similar to crash games; however, you won't find the multiplier mechanic in these games. They use minimal data, come with simple features and gameplay, and offer quick payouts. Some of the Quick Games titles here include Archeo, Gold Rush, and Jungle Gems.

I was definitely impressed with the casino game catalog I found here at Jackpot City Casino; however, I didn't come across any table games. That said, if you prefer faster gameplay, lower minimum bets, and automated table games, then this might be a drawback for you.

Jackpot City’s Software Developers

At the time of my Jackpot City Casino review, I came across 19 software developers on the platform. This includes big-name providers like Evolution, Pragmatic Play, and Big Time Gaming, as well as up-and-coming names like OnAir, and Light & Wonder.

It's also worth noting that Jackpot City has its own in-house software, powering approximately 13 exclusive titles. Given the fact that they feature world-renowned software providers, you should expect the best possible graphics and streaming quality when engaging on this platform.

Banking Options at Jackpot City Casino

I made my way to the cashier page at Jackpot City by simply clicking on the deposit option, located in the top right-hand corner of every page.

All available deposit options were displayed here, including vouchers like OTT Voucher, 1Voucher, Blu Voucher, EasyPay Voucher, and EasyLoad.
When it comes to Instant EFT options, you're free to use City Pay, Capitec By City Pay, as well as OZOW.

For those who enjoy traditional payment methods, you can use Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, and Zapper. Capitec Pay is also available here.
If you'd like to make traditional EFTs, you're free to do so via First National Bank, Standard Bank, and ABSA Bank.

Withdrawal options are more limited at Jackpot City and include EFT, 1Voucher, SB Instant Money, ABSA Cash Send, and Nedbank Send-iMali as of right now.

However, I noticed on the FAQ page that they're always looking to add new deposit and withdrawal options, as you would expect from real money casinos like these, so hopefully, we'll see more payout methods available in the near future.

Is Jackpot City Casino Legit?

Jackpot City is licensed, and after scrolling down to the website footer, I found this license number transparently displayed at the bottom of the homepage: 9-2-1-09658.

It is also regulated by the Mpumalanga Economic Regulator. This means that they have to comply with regulatory requirements and operational procedures to stay above board and maintain their license.

Aside from ticking all boxes when it comes to licensing and compliance, Jackpot City makes several responsible gambling resources available to players. This includes a Safe Gaming section, which helps you understand the risks of online gambling, as well as various options to exclude yourself from the platform or take a break.

You are also free to reach customer care via email or online chat support if you have any questions or concerns about responsible gambling.

I also came across 256-bit SSL encryption on the site, which gave me peace of mind when exchanging my personal and financial information. SSL Encryption basically protects your information from any third party.

That said, I believe Jackpot City ticks all the boxes when it comes to licensing and compliance with local gaming laws, and my honest opinion is that it’s one of the best online casinos in South Africa.

Jackpot City is licensed, and regulated, and makes use of strong security measures, so it's definitely a safe place to gamble online. Aside from the lack of table games, the game catalogue is impressive, and it's nice to find some live dealer offerings here as well. I like the fact that they offer multiple deposit options, as well as a 100% first deposit match to kickstart your gaming adventure.

However, I believe they can improve in a few areas, such as offering table games, adding more withdrawal methods, and providing more bonuses and promotions to compete with other South African operators like Easy Bet.
